Who is Jillian Sheehan?
Jillian has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years with national qualifications in exercise and health studies, fitness instruction, women's health, yoga, breathing, and relaxation techniques. Having spent almost two decades working with both individuals and groups, helping them achieve their health goals, she became acutely aware of the impact of our emotional and mental health on our physical well-being. To enhance her understanding of this connection and expand the range of individuals she can work with, Jillian completed a psychology degree at Trinity College Dublin.
She graduated in 2021 with a first-class honours receiving two separate awards for her final year thesis on resilience (The Una Burke Memorial Award in Child Psychology and The Capstone Project Award). She also secured The Trinity College Graduates Award in Psychology.
Jillian is currently enrolled in Trinity to study a postgraduate course in statistics while also obtaining a cert in women-specific coaching. Upon completing these, she hopes to engage in further studies researching the determinants of physical and psychological resilience and the impact of our mental and emotional well being on our physical health.
Jillian runs our classes in Castlecomer Health & Fitness on Wednesday evenings. She also works with individuals both in-person and online to help them achieve their fitness, wellness and/or weight loss goals!
